He was first introduced on the bazaar in Yang City as one of the bidders for the Great Sun Thunder Body. Lin Dong was auctioning three martial arts, Ocean Splitting Mountain Seal, Great Sun Thunder Body, and Demon Wind Palm. Once the remaining item was the Great Sun Thunder Body, Hai Sha bid ten thousand Nirvana pills, while Mo Tei bid eleven thousand. Hai Sha was known to never buy the things he bid and use his strength to get what he wants. Outraged, Hai Sha, then bid one thousand Nirvana pills and threatened Lin Dong's life.
